To retain the most nutritional value cook collards by bringing water to a boil in a pot, place steamer insert in the pot. Make sure the water level is not above the bottom of the steamer insert then quick steam chopped collard greens for no more than 5 minutes. Season as desired and serve as a side dish along with your favorite entrée or over a bed of brown or wild rice.
