A combination of seasonal greens grown and customized at Toppled Barn Farm to give you optimum nutrition, flavor, color, and texture in every bite. This special blend contains a mixture of brassicas (plants from the broccoli family) along with spinach and lettuce. In this mix, you will find familiar favorites like kale as well as some unique varieties. The combination of greens in the mix is subject to availability.

From left to right top row: green romaine lettuce, green mizuna mustard, tatsoi, red romaine lettuce. Middle row: red leaf lettuce, spinach, red Pac Choi, Chinese cabbage, red Russian kale, red mizuna mustard, green leaf lettuce, arugula

All our greens at Toppled Barn Farm are free of harmful chemicals. We harvest and package fresh to ensure you get the maximum nutrition possible.

Store in the fridge. Dump into bowls, add dressing, and Enjoy. Light dressings enhance the delicate flavors while heavier dressings tend to mask the flavors. The mix is great to eat on its own for a side salad or add your favorite vegetables and beans, and nuts or seeds for a convenient, one-dish meal.

All produce is cleaned and raw for those who want to prepare their own salads. These are not ready-to-eat. We recommend rinsing your produce before eating.

Our signature salad mix has been carefully selected to provide you with the best nutritional bang for your buck. In fact, Dr. Michael Greger, author of the book, How Not to Die states, “Greens are the healthiest vegetables, in fact, the most healthy food period. More nutrients per calorie than any other food out there.” Dr. Michael Greger on Live with Kelly and Ryan.

Simply taking a “reductionist” view, that is, to reduce the nutritional value of a food down to its individual nutritional parts, you can see our salad mix is packed full of vitamins and minerals. But we prefer to take more of a “whole” perspective when it comes to nutrition. We take into consideration not only the values of individual vitamins and minerals a food has to offer, but also other health benefits to be had in the form of lesser-known phytonutrients when food is eaten in its whole or unprocessed form. So, enjoy the flavors, colors, and textures our signature salad mix has to offer and have the peace of mind knowing you are feeding yourself living food full of nutrients that help you to enjoy the vibrant, energy-packed, healthy life you desire.
